To my Euless neighbors in Grapevine-Colleyville ISD:
I want you to know about an important election for Place 2 on the GCISD Board of Trustees. This is a runoff coming out of the May 5 local elections.
If you received a link to this page by text, you are eligible to vote in this runoff. You can vote in the runoff whether or not you voted in the May 5 election.
I am asking everyone to come out and vote for the incumbent, Becky St. John.
Why? It's simple:
  • I know Becky and can vouch for her passion for serving GCISD students and families. During her 3 terms on the Board of Trustees, Becky has had a hand in developing new programs that have made GCISD one of the top-rated school districts in Texas. The Board has done this without raising property tax rates and while maintaining GCISD's excellent credit rating.
  • The other candidate is being funded by State Rep. Jonathan Stickland - the same man who funded my opponent for City Council and posted false and hateful comments about my faith and my values. Stickland's voting record on public education is terrible, so it's important we keep his handpicked candidate off the GCISD Board of Trustees.
  • Your vote could decide this race. As you may know, I won my City Council race by 37 votes. Well, Becky missed winning the first round and avoiding this runoff by only 3 votes. 3 votes - that's it! Please take the time to vote in this runoff - your vote absolutely will make a difference.
Your LAST CHANCE to vote:
  • Saturday, June 16
  • 7 AM to 7 PM
  • Bransford Elementary School: 601 Glade Rd, Colleyville
